Isobel Carney

Co-founder & President

Isobel is the president and co-founder of Bella’s Legacy. She is currently a senior level figure skater based in CT and works with Bella’s coaches, Genevieve Coulombe and Konstantin Kostin. She met Bella when Bella was 12 years old (and she was 14) and they trained together from 2016-2021.

“Bella made every room brighter. She was kind (mostly, but we all have our moments), and had a way of making even the craziest parts of skating feel just a little less insane. Somehow, waking up at dawn to drive two hours the rink felt worth it, because Bella would be there. We spent so much time together, and I genuinely loved growing up with her. My skating career, and my life, would not be the same without her. I am forever grateful for the time that I had with her, and that I got to know her as well as I did.”

Outside of Bella’s Legacy, Isobel is a current NYU student on the pre-medical track (though she doesn’t start until 2026, since she is deferring). She works as a figure skating coach and as a CNA, and does some modeling in NYC as well. But, at her core, she is and always will be someone who loved Bella.

“I hope that this non-profit will establish her legacy in a way that sticks. I’m so honored to be able to share her story with all of you!”

Kassandra Carpentier

Treasurer

Kassie is the treasurer of Bella’s Legacy. She is also a co-owner and a member of the board. She has been a figure skater for as long as she can remember, coached by her parents and Konstatin Kostin. She was lucky enough to be introduced to Bella when Bella joined SkateKostin (now known as Level Up Performance Skating). Their friendship began quickly as they had a lot in common from online schooling to skating on the same sessions.

“On the first day that Bella and I met, we instantly connected. We referred to one another as ‘my person’. From the moment we met, we knew our souls were connected. We would spend our mornings skating together and pushing one another to become better every single day. Everyday after skating we would grab a coffee or lunch and head to her house to spend the rest of our afternoons out on her trampoline in the backyard. We made spontaneous trips across the country, roaming through Disneyland, Santa Monica, New York City and more. On and off the ice Bella was my best friend, she was practically my sister. Without rambling on, I will leave it at the fact that we truly went through it all together.”

Outside of this non-profit, She is a senior at Assumption University, studying Marketing and Sales and currently preparing for her upcoming Sales role with ADP. She recently found her way back to skating and had the opportunity to compete for Assumption this year. In addition, She currently coaches figure skating at Level Up and coaches gymnastics at Elite Gymnastics Academy.

“Bella had an impact on my life that is difficult to put into words. She was the most beautiful, creative and artistic person that I have ever known. She was unapologetically herself and it was admirable. She truly saved my life and I will always be grateful for the presence she served in my life. Bella was my soulmate best friend and she always will be. I am honored to help carry on her legacy.”
