How We Began
Bella’s Legacy, a Connecticut-based nonprofit dedicated to Isabella (Bella) Ramirez, was founded by Bella’s close friend, Isobel Carney, and Stella Evindar. Heart disease, and its complications, is the leading cause of death worldwide, yet the research in this field is severely underfunded. Bella’s Legacy is determined to honor Bella’s life through our mission of funding life-saving cardiovascular research and improving the lives of those affected by cardiovascular conditions. Bella’s Legacy is more than just a non-profit; it is a movement inspired by one incredible life with the goal of saving many more.

Isabella (Bella) Juliette Ramirez was a vibrant young woman. Her passion, creativity, and drive for perfection was evident in everything she did. She loved figure skating, art (especially drawing), cooking and baking, traveling, her family, and her dog, Banksy. Her spirit and legacy live on in everyone who knew her, in her beautiful artworks, and in Bella’s Legacy.
